A 39-year-old man has been apprehended by Korçë police on suspicion of smuggling medicines and selling untaxed cigarette packs.

According to police sources, the individual, identified as B.M., allegedly smuggled 1,637 boxes of medicines from Greece with the intent to sell them in his family-owned pharmacy located in Bilisht. His wife, R.Z., 36, who worked as a pharmacist at this establishment, has also been subjected to legal proceedings.
Authorities discovered the smuggled medicines along with 83 cartons of untaxed cigarettes at the residence of B.M.’s father-in-law, N.Z., 64, who has also been charged in connection with the case.
The procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Korçë for further investigation.
