  In a recent incident, the Road Police Directorate and the 6th Police Directorate, during routine patrols, came across a citizen, identified as Sh. I., towing a domestic animal (a dog) with a car.

The individual, Sh. I., was taken into custody and subsequently released pending investigation for the criminal offense of "Animal Cruelty." Additionally, they were fined 6,000 lekë under the Road Code. The domestic animal was handed over to specialized municipal services for care.

The video footage of this incident has been widely circulated on social media platforms, sparking outrage and calls for justice.

This case highlights the importance of enforcing animal rights and holding individuals accountable for their actions. The mistreatment of animals is not only morally reprehensible but also illegal, as evidenced by the criminal charges and fine faced by Sh. I.
