Maria Levadi, Greece's Ambassador to Serbia, stated on Thursday that the Greek leadership's position regarding Kosovo has not changed and that it wishes for the entire Balkans to join the European Union.

According to Euronews Serbia, Levadi made the statement during a meeting with Veroljub Arsic, the chairman of the parliamentary group of friendship with Greece, and the members of this group in the Serbian Parliament, Kosovo media say.

The MPs briefed Ambassador Levadi on the situation and issues that Serbians in Kosovo face.

Additionally, they emphasized that Serbia is prepared for dialogue and compromise and committed to peace.

We emphasize that Greece is among the four European countries that do not recognize Kosovo, including Romania - which are predominantly Orthodox country, and Spain, which may have internal separatist problems, we remind the terrorist groups linked to the infamous organization ETA, such as the Basque Country, Catalonia, etc. Also, Slovakia does not recognize Kosovo, although it was separated from Czechoslovakia at the beginning of the 1990s.
