 The only Albanian member of the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, recited verses of the National Anthem of Albania during his speech at a plenary session, as part of a speech calling for more rights for the use of national symbols for Albanians living there.

He recited the verses:

"That God Himself said it orally

That nations perish on the earth, and,

Yes, Albania will live;

For Albania, we fight!

Kamberi directly asked Prime Minister Ana Brnabic when Albanian symbols could be used freely in Serbia, while recalling that Serbia remains the only country in the region that, “by law, prevents national minorities from freely using their symbols if they are identical with the symbols of other states”.

He also recalled the tearing of Albanian national flags from the streets of Belgrade before the visit of Prime Minister Edi Rama there, on the occasion of one of the summits within the Open Balkans initiative, calling them a confirmation that Serbs can not stand the Albanian national symbol.

"In the atmosphere created, in which war crimes are denied, criminals are glorified, whose murals are guarded by the police themselves, and if we take into account the reports of international organizations that Serbia has serious setbacks and a return to democracy, then perhaps we should not we wonder why the state does not take any action against a vandal act like the one of removing the Albanian flags in Belgrade. The rulers are silent with pride. "For many, the dilemma is rightly raised whether this act of vandalism against the Albanian flag is part of the" Open Balkans "project or that of" Serbian World "by Aleksandar Vulin", said Kamberi.

"As a country that claims to be part of the EU (although today the question can rightly be asked whether the Republic of Serbia really wants membership), this country must eliminate its discriminatory laws."
