Germany finances 50 million euros in Tirana on urban lines

 In the framework of improving the conditions of urban transport in the capital, was recently signed a cooperation agreement between Germany and Albania.

The German Embassy through a post on the social network Facebook informs that the two countries have signed an intergovernmental agreement to finance the project 'Green Transport of Tirana' in the amount of 50 million euros.

This agreement aims to design a fast bus system in Tirana, focusing on the problems encountered in the three main corridors of the capital, namely the east-west line from Kinostudio to Kombinat, Unaza (Tirana's third ring) and Tirana e Re.

The project is based on an in-depth feasibility study for a fast bus system in Tirana, focusing on the problems encountered in the three main corridors of the capital, namely the east-west line from Kinostudio to Kombinat, Unaza (Tirana's third ring road) and Tirana e Re (central and western part of the city) and has as its main objective the promotion of an urban transport service in Tirana which is both environmentally friendly and climate-friendly as well as reliable and affordable for the citizens of the capital.
