Klajdi Xibraku and Erion Peti are the persons arrested by the police in connection with the amount of 143 kilograms of cocaine seized today in the port of Durres.
The 200 packages of cocaine were hidden in a container of bananas coming from Ecuador commissioned by the company Massabi Fruits, which turns out to belong to Klajdi Xibraku and Erion Peti.
It was Xibraku who went to the port after being notified, initially about the customs clearance procedures.
Police sources suggest that the itinerary of the container in which the narcotics were found was Ecuador-Sicily (Gioia Tower) - Durrës.
The owners of the company have been under surveillance earlier as police had suspicions of suspicious activity but had failed to verify.
