The Secretary of the Court of Kruja, Manuela Mallakuçi, was under surveillance after she was involved in the release of the convict Saimir Petani. In one of the many conversations she had, Mallakuçi has been wiretaped while talking to Prifti to perform an extra heart intervention on her mother.

This has led prosecutor Altin Dumani to launch a corruption probe into doctor Prifti and nurse Frengu, separated from the Kruja main file. Prifti is currently dismissed.

After the raid of the apartment of Judge Enkelejda Hoxha, SPAK has raided the apartment and office of the doctor Edvin Prifti, seizing 250 thousand euros and 16 leks. The doctor had transformed his apartment and office as a bank, much to the surprise of the SPAK prosecutors and the Judicial Police Officers who seized the amount of money.

While the special Prosecution known as SPAK has arrested today the judge Enkelejda Hoxha with 9 other people as they planned to release the convicted murderer Saimir Petani. Lawyer Aldo Tabaku was part of the scheme together with the court secretary, Manuela Mallakuçi and the forensic expert, Shkëlqim Korbi. Judge Enkelejda Hoxha is accused by SPAK of receiving amounts from 6 thousand to 12 thousand euros in exchange for the release of convicts for murder.
