'There is no Albanian crime, it's international, Albania is the safest place in Europe,' Rama says

Edi Rama speaking at Europa Park Forum in Munich
Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech at the Europa Park Forum in Munich, stated that there is no Albanian crime, but there is international organized crime, and any country aspiring to join the EU will face such accusations.

Rama targeted the European policy for appearing as such when he brought the example of an article published in foreign media about the destruction of a gang of Albanian traffickers.

"When the Bulgarians wanted to enter, the newspaper wrote that they would kill them. Any country that approaches the door of the union will face these. There is no Albanian crime, organized crime is international. How is it possible that crime records are disconnected? In the Netherlands, Albanians have already become the worst thing. A newspaper with the big headline that a gang of Albanians had been destroyed. "9 were arrested, 3 Dutch, one Belgian, two from Poland, one from Morocco and in it were two 65-year-old Albanians who guarded the warehouses where drugs were cultivated, but for politics it was good to present it as an Albanian gang", declared Rama.

During his speech, the Prime Minister requested from the Europa Park forum in Munich the start of negotiations for Albania's membership in the European Union. He said that Albania's position is strange in this process, and invited them to visit our country, as it is the most beautiful and safest in Europe.

"I can not imagine a house that can function well if the little grandchildren veto the grandparents. Our position is very strange. We are blinded by love for Europe, but she says will marry us, but how can we get married when Europe does not speak to us. Negotiations are the most important thing for our countries. Membership will come as a consequence, but negotiation is what is real for us. To deprive countries of this instrument is nonsense. It's the right moment to tell you to come visit Albania, it is 1 hour and a few minutes away. You will not regret it. It is a beautiful place, for foreigners it is the safest place in Europe", Rama added.
