Former Democratic Party (DP) MP Jorida Tabaku says Albanian businesses have invested 1.3 billion euros abroad, mostly in northern Macedonia, calling it a failure of the Rama Government.

"Not only do we not attract foreign investments but we also do not persuade local businesses to invest in Albania. Thousands of new jobs in North Macedonia from investments of Albanian business, while the ranks of the unemployed in Albania are increasing every day", writes Tabaku on Facebook:

"Why is this happening?" Because the outgoing Prime Minister has created the most stifling climate for Albanian employment, investment and entrepreneurship. Instead of helping the economy, the Rama Government has misused and stolen with corrupt PPPs a value as much as 13% of GDP, approximately as much as the lost investments in Albania. These billions of euros and thousands of jobs lost for Albanians, our neighbor has taken from us as a result of pro-business fiscal and economic policies. "Only for 2019 the value we lost was as much as 10% of the GDP."

Tabaku added that Albanian businesses and citizens need breathing and the DP economic program has this objective. "The elimination and reduction of 18 taxes and over 60 tariffs, the 1-year moratorium for inspectorates as well as the facilitation of any bureaucratic procedure and the introduction of a flat tax of 9%, will turn Albania into a normal and highly competitive country in order to make more investments in the region. Our focus is to fight for every job, and to support every venture, restoring breathing to the economy.

Albania at work is a real program based on honest businesses and working people! Today more than ever we need to give hope to young people and make Albania a worthy country to live and work! "Albania at work is our offer for businesses not to spend billions abroad: to fight together for new investments and secure jobs with dignified salaries in our country".
