 The average number of new cases of coronavirus over the past week was about 90 affected and more than 3 victims per day. The Ministry of Health, while talking about a "serious epidemiological situation" announced that there has been an increasing trend in terms of hospitalized and those who have needed intensive therapy. "All these indicators show that the virus will continue its transmission if citizens do not become aware of respecting the established rules, to keep the mask necessarily indoors, to maintain social distancing, and businesses by implementing the approved protocols." said today Eugena Tomini - spokeswoman of the Institute of Public Health.

After a few days ago it imposed the obligation to keep masks in closed environments, today another decision has entered into force according to which “opening of night clubs, discos, lounge bars and any kind of service of this nature is prohibited in a closed environment, except restaurants. Failure to comply with this obligation by the subjects is punished with a fine of 3 million ALL and with the suspension of the activity for a period of one year”.

Also, according to the same Normative Act “music is prohibited after 08.00 pm in all service facilities of any kind. Failure to comply with this obligation by the subjects is punished with a fine of 1 million ALL and in case of repetition, with the suspension of activity for a period of six months.

In the last 24 hours, 81 new cases have been confirmed, a high number considering that there were only 267 tests, a significantly reduced level compared to previous days. "The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 50 cases in Tirana, 4 cases in Shkodra, Korca, Kavaja, 3 cases in Durres, Fier, Elbasan, Mirdita, Tropoja, Kamza, 1 case in Kurbin", announced Ms. Tomini. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 4171 cases have been registered, 70 percent of which from June 9 until now.
