Status of Besiana Kadare on Facebook:

Proud to announce that #Albania has been elected Vice-President of the 75th session of United Nations General Assembly! It’s a distinct honor to serve as VP of this historical session and I’m looking forward to working with Ambassador Volkan Bozkir, the newly elected President of General Assembly from #Turkey.

It’s such a privilege and a tremendous responsibility to serve my country in this important post, with great visibility in the international arena.

Each regional group in the UN is represented with a Vice-President in the General Assembly. Albania will represent the Eastern European Group (members of EEG include the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaidjan, Armenia, etc.)
