Archaeological excavations have recently discovered a tomb in Himara, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Vlora, and the National Institute of Cultural Heritage discovered a tumular cemetery of the Late Bronze Age (XV-XVII centuries BC).

According to archaeologists, the discovery is of special importance, as it is the first archeological site of its kind to be discovered on the coast of Himara, adding to the Archaeological Map of Albania another area with tumular cemeteries. This is undoubtedly the first and so important discovery after several centuries on Albanian soil on the southern coast." writes Çipa on his Facebook profile.
