Joint operation Italy-Albania, 11 people arrested in handcuffs relating to narcotics
 
 Albanian and Italian police have finalized the joint operation "ZAD", where 11 people were arrested, 9 of them in Italy and 2 were detained in Albanian territory.

According to the Police, in the operation in Albania are involved the Criminal Police Department, Interpol Tirana, DVP Tirana, Elbasan and Shkodra, in cooperation with the Italian Interfoca in Albania and Interpol Rome.

As a result, during the first hours of the morning, in Italy and Albania, 11 arrest warrants were issued for members of a criminal group in the field of narcotics, 9 of whom were arrested in Italy and 2 in Albania. During the operation, the State Police arrested the citizens F. P., 32 years old, born in Shkodra and I. D, 49 years old, born in Cërrik.



The Court of Pre-Trial Investigations in Pistoia, Italy, has issued arrest warrants for 11 people, including these two citizens, for the criminal offense "Illegal possession and smuggling of drugs, mainly cocaine" committed in collaboration. The maximum sentence is 20 years in prison.

The citizen FP has played his role as a mediator between some Albanian citizens reported as buyers of packages with cocaine, a criminal offense which he committed in cooperation with other citizens, while the citizen ID, acting in the role of reseller of narcotics, in cooperation with Albanian and Italian citizens, was responsible for collecting and selling packages of cocaine, a quantity provided and stored by other Albanian citizens.

The State Police is determined to work closely with partners to toughly fight organized crime and terrorism.
