About 32.4% of enterprises in Tirana run by women

 Women manage 25.4% of the total active enterprises in Albania, compared to 25.7% during 2018.

According to a report published recently by the Institute of Statistics of Albania (INSTAT), "The Register of Enterprises 2019", the district of Tirana has the highest concentration of enterprises run by women, with 32.4%.

According to data published by INSTAT, women-run enterprises are mainly enterprises composed by 1 to 4 employees, which account for 90.5% of the total number of enterprises run by women.

"In enterprises with 50 or more employees, women-run 20.3% of enterprises," the INSTAT report said.
