He said that when he was running the municipality of Tirana more than 9 years ago he had received a proposal. Rama further said that the issue of the Theater should end and the political process for electoral reform should continue.
"Those who are protecting it today, or tried to protect it, that also set the line of fire: They have had a project to demolish the National Theater. They have started an investment of 6 million euros for a new theater at the pyramid (of the former dictator Enver Hoxha), with an absurd project. The only result was a few steps. Those who would invest invested the marble they put in the bathroom or in the grave.
At that time, an investor came to my office with a German group of investors and they introduced me to the project ‘plaza shopping’ where a shopping center was planned on the territory of the theater. It was a nice project but i told you it doesn't work. Here the old Theater will be demolished and the new theater will be built. They are so hurt that they think the political process for electoral reform should not continue. I think that this issue should end and the political process should continue", declared Rama.
