Kosovo Police detain 53 people who did not respect  coronavirus measures

 Kosovo Police has announced that during the last 24 hours, in 13 cases, 53 citizens in different municipalities of Kosovo has been detained, for inaction in accordance with health provisions during pandemics.

According to the notification of the Kosovo Police, in two cases in the municipality of Ferizaj 33 people were detained, in three cases in Prizren - 12 people, in five cases in Gjilan - 5 people, and in three cases in South Mitrovica, 3 people were detained.

Most of the cases of detention of these persons are related to non-compliance with the schedule of movement during pandemics and business functioning, for which there are still prohibitions, but also the attempt to keep the religious ritual in an organized form.

With the recommendation of the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo, the Ministry of Health is currently implementing the measure of restricting the movement of citizens in Kosovo, twice by 2 hours a day, according to the latest personal numbers on ID cards.

According to data from the National Institute of Public Health, 1,032 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Kosovo so far. Of these, 789 have been recovered and 29 died.
