A serious incident was reported to have taken place in Agio Petro Lefkim, in the Greek island of Corfu, where a young Albanian woman was raped by a Greek.

The name of the rapist has been published recently in the Greek media. He is the 47-year-old Dimitri Aspioti, who is accused of kidnapping and raping a 34-year-old Albanian woman for 48 hours in a row.

Police are searching for the 47-year-old, while the 34-year-old Albanian has been found later in a hut in Agio Petro, Lefkimi.

The denunciation of her disappearance was made by her 32-year-old husband, who said he woke up in the morning but did not sow his wife in the apartment. He told police that the night before they had met Aspioti, who lived in Lefkimi under the measure of obligation to appear to Police and was not allowed to leave Corfu.

Aspioti was sentenced in 2012 to 52 years in prison for raping six British youths in 2010 and was nicknamed the "The Dragon of Kavos" by the British media but was released in November 2019 using a Greek law of the time.
