The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, attended a meeting organized by the Estonian Presidency of the Security Council of Europe to discuss on political developments 75 years after the end of World War II.

In his speech, Cakaj underlined not just Albania's historic contribution to defeating the Nazi-fascist forces, but also today's contribution to the service of peace, security and fundamental freedoms and rights in the world.

"As the OSCE leader for the moment, Albania has demonstrated its ability to successfully perform extraordinary international responsibilities. On this basis, our commitment is unstinting to ensure the seat of the non-permanent member of the Security Council 2022-2023," said Cakaj during his speech.
