Germany ready to host Italian patients affected by COVID-19

Six patients with Covid-19 will be transferred from Lombardy to Saxony. This is what Germany has offered to do for the Italian people.

The news was confirmed by Governor Michael Kretschmer. Germany is the first foreign country to offer to Italy the transfer of coronavirus-infected patients to their hospitals.

The German Land of Saxony will receive six positive patients with Covid-19 from Italy and then treat them in hospitals in its region. Michael Kretschmer said he responded in this way to a request from Italy. "It's a very important signal that we can help others as well," he said. It is the first time Italian patients have been transferred to another EU country, writes TG.com 24.

Germany is ready to welcome the French as well. German hospitals in the area bordering France are also ready to help French patients suffering from coronavirus.

In the Aachen Friendship Treaty (an agreement between France and Germany) there is also one of mutual support in the health sector.
