Iranian school 'Saadi' closed in Albania

The Ministry of Education of Albania has closed the Saadi School, which was funded by Iran and has been operating in Tirana for several years. The decision, secured by Oculus News, holds the sign of the Education Minister Besa Shahini.

The decision does not explain the reasons for the school's closure, but we remind that this step was taken shortly after Albania declared "Persona non grata" the two Iranian diplomats in Tirana a few days ago.

The declared unwanted diplomats are Mohammad Ali Arz Peimanemati and Seyed Ahmad Hosseini Alast, both of whom were also heads of the Saadi Shirazi Foundation, which finances the school in question.

The "non grata" announcement for the Iranian diplomats, but also the closure of the school following the first decision, was made following intense tensions between Iran and the US as US military forces executed the Iranian General Qassem Suleiman.

Among the many reactions and threats, there were also threatening statements against Albania from Iranian leaders, due to our country's acceptance of the Iranian Mojahedin community, considered the most vicious opposition against the local regime.
