Albanians pay homage in Athens, lighting candles in memory of 51 earthquake victims
 
 Albanian immigrants paid homage in central Athens to the 51 lives lost in the devastating November 26 earthquake in Albania. In the square in front of the City Hall in Athens, a group of Albanians but also Greek citizens have lit candles to remember the victims.

The memorial was attended by representatives of the Greek political parties, the Municipality of Athens and ordinary citizens as well as numerous representatives of the Albanian community. After placing a large wreath of flowers, the citizens created the number 51 with candles.

Meanwhile, Albanians in Greece have solidarized with the pain of their compatriots, and have pledged to raise funds to help those affected by the earthquake.
