The assassination took place at around 4:30 pm on November 1, when the car with AA 333 ZD plates, driven by Maloku and passengers the Prosecutor Ndoja and his fellow Muharremaj, was hit by bullets from unknown persons and then left the road. Police also reported that Maloku was transported for specialized treatment to Trauma Hospital in Tirana, while the other two injured were out of danger for life at Durres Regional Hospital.
The Serious Crimes Court found as legal the arrest of Redjan Rraja - suspected of the November 1 assassination attempt at the overpass of Shkozet in Durres.
Rraja is charged with the offenses of "Murder of Public Officials", "Murder Against Two or More Persons", Committed in Co-operation, remained in the Tentative Attempt context" and "Unlawful Weaponry."
Redjan Rraja was arrested on November 5, after the investigation team found a papillary (fingerprint) on a pair of glasses found in the car abandoned by the perpetrators.
