Over 1 ton of cocaine inside frozen fish, Albanian and 6 other traffickers convicted in the Netherlands

Dutch Police at Rotterdam Port 
 Dutch justice has sentenced an Albanian and six Dutch nationals to jail on charges of trafficking of 1,125kg of cocaine. The Rotterdam court ruled 5 to 7 years in prison for the traffickers.

According to Dutch media, the drugs would have been worth at around € 22m while hiding in a frozen fish load coming from Ecuador with a container in the port of Rotterdam.

The arrest of those who appeared before the court of Friday was made at the end of July during a raid on the Port of Rotterdam.

Police followed the carriage to a warehouse in Zaandam. In late July, six of the seven suspects were arrested during a warehouse raid, including an Albanian and an American.


The seventh suspect, a 48-year-old man, was arrested in the Hague. The Dutchman was the transport organizer.

Police controlled among other places in the business premises of the man in Rijswijk and Alphen aan den Rijn and a convoy in Bergambacht. In addition, has been found some substances for the production of ecstasy.
