A few hours later, the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta received today a high-level delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, headed by the President of the Assembly, George Tsereteli, and the Secretary-General, Roberto Montella. While the absence of OSCE Ambassador Bernd Borchardt was striking, he is present at every official meeting that the OSCE holds in the country.
The meeting took place just hours after President Ilir Meta declared 'non grata' the top diplomat, stating that he had discredited the president's decree on the June 30th elections and has mocked some protesters by pointing the middle finger to them.
