 A Montenegrin Albanian has been fined and expelled from the country for celebrating with the Albanian flag.

The event took place in Bar, where extreme measures were taken against the Albanian just because he celebrated with the red and black flag during the traditional "Chestnut Days" event.

Police in Bar announced the launch of proceedings against the 64-year-old Albanian man who was sentenced to 300 euros in fines and one month's expulsion from Montenegro, Newsbomb.al reports.

"I.D. yesterday, on the 13th anniversary of Chestnut Day, has violated law and order by waving the flag of the Republic of Albania,” the Montenegrin police statement reads.
