William Argeros, a 61-year-old American who admitted to illegally contributing with $ 80,000 on behalf of a foreign politician to the 2012 US presidential campaign, has been sentenced to four months in prison in New Jersey on Monday, September 30, after pleading guilty in 2016.

According to international media reports, Argeros's lawyer, John Azzarello, said to the Court that "his client was acting on behalf of Edi Rama," at the time opposition leader and candidate for prime minister of Albania, who wanted a photo with Barak Obama, according to Azzarello.
