Albanian champion in weightlifting Briken Calja doesn't gets the reward by state because of misinformation, he says
 Briken Calja
The Albanian weightlifter Briken Calja won the gold medal in the snatch style in Thailand, but despite his great achievement, the weightlifter has not yet received his reward according to the rules set by the Albanian state itself. This is, in fact, a major sporting problem in the country, where elite athletes make endless attempts to wait to receive the well-deserved reward. In an open letter to Prime Minister Rama, the Albanian champion considers the current Sports Law as the best in recent years, but its implementation has been neglected by line ministry officials who, according to Calja, have dared to misinform the Prime Minister.

“Mr. Prime Minister, first of all thank you for responding to the problem that I am facing with the award of medals because of misrepresentation, intentionally or unintentionally.

Secondly, I followed carefully your speech last night and I tell you that I have the confidence that you will give a solution to the situation.

But on the other hand, I would like to express directly to you the fact that the Ministry officials have misinformed you and forwarded to you information that has no documentary basis.

There is a clear legal provision, I absolutely agree with you, and this provision is based on international rules of the World Federation, but I want to let you know that the international rules are not read backward as they are read by either disability or ignorance by the specialists of the Ministry who have done all this misinformation, raising a very anomalous and unfavorable situation for me to compete and give my best to the national team. I am making available to you the letter that the World Federation has sent to the Ministry of Education and Sports in response to the latter's request regarding the information on the number of medals and the awarding of medals. As is clear from the return-and-response, the international rules you mentioned clearly state that at the European and World Championships the athlete can win up to three medals (snatch,  clean and jerk, double) and the reward is based on these mindsets as you said. Only in the case of the Olympics can the athlete win only one medal.

For further clarification, I would like to tell you that we are not discussing the respective DCM but merely its implementation. Sports law is the best in recent years but its implementation remains a major challenge.

I want to take a few minutes of your time and invite you to take a look at the DCM, return letter and international rules on rewards. I am willing to cooperate in whatever way we can to give the right direction to this artificial mess raised without cause.

I am ready and challenging anyone who reads backwards a sentence written correctly and in the Albanian language.

Pending for the resolution,
