 Eldi Dergjini, the 34-year-old who was injured Wednesday evening in the Lapraka area at the former eagle's roundabout, is not unknown person to the police, while also being the brother of a recent lawmaker in the Albanian Parliament.

Oculus News sources suggest that Dergjini is the brother of the MP from the lists of the party Socialist Movement for Integration Ambra Borova, who entered the Parliament after the demolition of the Parliamentary mandates recently by SMI MPs who took office in 2017.
Eldi Borova changed his surname to Dergjini after problems with justice in Italy, which results arrested for narcotics and in Albania for opposing the Police.

The 34-year-old, who was driving an armored "Benz G-Class" with Russian license plates, said in his testimony that "he was driving at a normal speed when he was hit by another vehicle".

“I lost control and crashed into a roadblock and my car crashed into the road. I didn't saw the vehiclethat hit me. After the accident I moved on foot for a few meters and then took a taxi and went to the hospital ”, Dergjini confessed.

Tirana police are intensely investigating the incident, as it is learned that the armored car with Russian license plate H001CH 199 was brought to the Tirana Directorate and subjected to a thorough control.

The victim claims that he brought the car from abroad yesterday and has not yet been provided the Albanian documentation.

After the accident, the 34-year-old fled the scene, which led police to suspect the driver might have problems with justice or that the vehicle was stolen.
