Santiago Malko was killed on the evening of August 27. The victim has been driving a BMW X5 when he was shot dead. For several meters the perpetrators fired the gun as the victim lost control of the car and collided with an object on the side of the road.
After his murder, investigations into the past were also carried out. Malko was a close friend of Ervis Martinaj, the gambling businessman. Malko was also known in the police criminal record as a criminal contingent and involved in several gun events in Tirana.
