Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini denied on Wednesday a report stating that his party had asked millions of euros from Russian investors through a secret oil deal.

Buzzfeed said had received an audio recording of Moscow talks in October among the three Italians, including a close associate of Salvini, Gianluca Savoini, and three unidentified Russian people.

Salvini denied allegations that his party had received any illegal funding.

"I never got one ruble, one euro, one dollar, or one liter of vodka financings from Russia," Salvini said in a statement, adding that he would sue all those who accused him of such crimes, according to him.
