Lithuania in favor of visa liberalization for Kosovo, Finland is skeptic

Andrius Kalindra, from the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, told "Voice" that they support visa liberalization for Kosovo, while Virpi Kankare, from the Finnish Foreign Ministry, a state that since the beginning of this month assumed the Presidency of the EU, told the newspaper that visa liberalization for Kosovo depends on the fulfilling all the criteria.

The European Union (EU) countries are still not in one voice in terms of visa liberalization for Kosovo. While some of them support visa abolition, a certain number of states that are part of the EU are not yet moving from the current position of their comfort zone - against visas.

Meanwhile, since Great Britain is not part of the Schengen Zone, officials of the United Kingdom Embassy in Pristina have said that this country does not participate in the decisions related to liberalization.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania have confirmed to that they support the remove of visas for the citizens of Kosovo.

Integration issues experts consider that the key problem of non-liberalism is being presented by some other EU states, such as France and the Netherlands.
