France's president, Emmanuel Macron, is on a visit to Belgrade. There he met with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

After the meeting, they attended a press conference, where they talked about Kosovo as well. While at the conference Macron has considered Kosovo an independent European state.

France wants the agreement to be reached. Serbia and Kosovo are European countries and we want this to be a reality," Macron said.

He has also shown that he will organize a meeting between Kosovo and Serbia's leaders. Whereas, Vucic said that for France, Kosovo is independent.

"For France, Kosovo is independent but is not independent for Serbia. I know that for the Serbs this statement is difficult to accept, but we have to understand this.

I'm not here to speak badly about Albanians or anyone else. I am here for peace," Vucic said among other things.
