Kosovo authorities have banned the Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin from entering to Kosovo.

The news was confirmed by Jetlir Zyberaj, advisor to the Kosovo Foreign Minister.

According to him, Vulin's request was rejected "because his purpose is provocation against Kosovo".

"He has nothing to ask in Kosovo until Serbia recognizes Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state," Zyberaj said to media.

The Kosovo government official estimates that even the request to visit Kosovo is a provocation, as "the Serbian government knows that any kind of visit to Kosovo is forbidden to the Minister of Defense".

There is still no comment from the Serbian government regarding this case.

The ban on Vulin was confirmed by the Serbian defense ministry as well.

Serbian media say that Vulin and a Serbian army delegation planned to visit the Hospital Clinical Center in North Mitrovica.

Kosovo institutions have long since compiled a list of unwanted persons from Serbia who are banned from entering Kosovo.

The list that the Kosovo Foreign Ministry has with the names of persons who can not enter Kosovo begins with the name of Serbian ultra-nationalist politician Vojislav Seselj condemned by The Hague Tribunal, followed by Lubisha Divkovic, former General of the Serbian Army, then the Serbian Interior Minister and Defense Minister, the Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and many others.
