Sixty Albanians repatriate from France after they sought asylum for different reasons

60 Albanian citizens seeking asylum in France were repatriated today at Rinas Airport.

The plane with the Albanian citizens landed today on the Rinas Airport at 13:45. The Deputy Interior Minister Rovena Voda and the Director of the Department for Border and Migration in the State Police were present during the repatriation of the 60 Albanian citizens who had sought asylum in France

Voda called on to the citizens not to seek asylum, as this could penalize them in the future. According to her, the citizens who are caught out of the Schengen movement rules will not be allowed to move freely in the Schengen area.

"I call upon to all Albanians to respect the rules of free movement in the Schengen area. That's for some reason. At first, for the fact that it is a great cost for them to travel to these countries, leaving everything behind and then returning and resuming from the beginning here to our country. Also, this is an unjust path and it does not lead them anywhere, just may penalized and is not allow them travel to the Schengen area," said Voda.

"I have to inform you that in the framework of the visit of the Albanian Interior Minister in France some time ago, the French Minister of Interior agreed that repatriation procedures would be more frequent. So I beg to the Albanian citizens, it's their right to migrate, but to choose the path of safe migration," Voda said.
