'There are some surprisingly wonderful hiking in the northern part of Albania, called Bjeshkët e Namuna,' according to the American newspaper Daily News, which lists Albania among the 50 countries to spend the holidays this year.

Tourism Development Consultant Audrey Scott says, "Albania has some surprisingly wonderful climbs in the northern part of the country in the Bjeshkët e Namuna Mountains. You can visit Valbona, Theth or Lëpusha and climb to the magnificent peaks around you."

"Or you can start a longer adventure and realize a modified version of Peak of the Balkans Trek that takes you through Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. Then, after exploring the mountains, head South to the beaches or relax in the Adriatic Sea," said Scott.
