29 Albanian citizens who have sought asylum in France and Belgium are repatriated. The repatriation operation was conducted in cooperation with the Border Police, the French and Belgian police, where 29 Albanian citizens were repatriated during a joint flight to France and Belgium who were denied a residence permit.

The Interior Ministry and the State Police appeal to all Albanian citizens to respect the rules of movement and residence in the Schengen area, as the chances of obtaining asylum in EU countries are zero.

All citizens who want to be employed in the EU must follow the legal path and not fall prey to fraud with forged documents or tendency to seek asylum, as Albania is on the list of safe countries and the opportunity to obtain asylum is zero.

The Border Police have strengthened the measures to check out the exit documentation at all crossing points and has added patrols to the green border. A joint operation with FRONTEX is underway at the border with Greece.
