Thaci: Is indispensable the full Kosovo-Albania border removement

 Hashim Thaci

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said he had a meeting with the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Wednesday in Tirana, with whom he had previously talked about "the necessity of full opening of the Kosovo-Albania border and the establishment of an Albanian borderless area, under the Euro-Atlantic umbrella."

"In this meeting we raised the need to correct historical injustices by joining the Albanian factor around the awareness of the right of joining Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac with the territory of the Republic of Kosovo," Thaci said through a Facebook post.

In Tirana, Thaci is participating in the Brdo Brioni meeting - an initiative undertaken by Croatia and Slovenia since 2013, in order to accelerate the approximation of the Balkan region with the European Union.

Brdo-Brioni's member countries are: Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and are represented at the level of heads of state or prime ministers.
