Kosovo declares "not grata" Mikhail Krasnoshchekov, the Russian diplomat of the UN

The Russian diplomat Mikhail Krasnoshchekov of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) has been declared a non-grata person in Kosovo.

International media write that Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has declared the Russian citizen as "unwanted person in the state of Kosovo". Haradinaj wrote on "Facebook" that he asks from the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the Russian be declared "non-grata" based on "constitutional and legal powers".

"Krasnoshchevsk is ordered to leave the territory of Kosovo" because of the actions of Russian citizens against the constitutional system of Kosovo, universal humanitarian values, peace and stability," Haradinaj said.

Kosovo police conducted raids in the northern municipalities of the territory on May 28, arresting several people, mostly Serbs, for their involvement in criminal acts.

Belgrade said that 28 people were arrested, including Krasnoschchevski, who was later released and reportedly sent to a hospital in Kosovo. He was later transferred to the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.
