Luisa Zappitelli, born in 1911, actually at the age of 108, has participated in all the European elections by breaking her personal record, with regular participation in every vote in the period of democratic Italy, since the 1946 plebiscite and to date.

An appreciated engagement, quoted also by the Italian President Sergio Mattarella.

At 11:00 Mrs. Luisa was presented at the polling station number 10 in San Pio, the town of Castelo where she lives, accompanied by her children Anna and Dario Ercolani and her niece Natascia.

Next to her was also the commander of the municipal police, Joselito Orlando and several police agents.

Luisa Zappitelli invited all the youth to "not avoid the elections, because this is the way the citizens have to make their voices to be heard in democracy".

"I still remember the first time I went proudly to vote with other women, an instant that would remain forever in my mind," she said.

Of course, she is an inspiration to the Democracy.
