The Socialist Party group leader in Parliament Taulant Balla during an interview to News 24 said that "the MP who proposed the resolution for the ban of the free movement for Albanians in Schengen Area is the friend of Lulzim Basha - The leader of Democratic Party and the opposition."

According to Balla, the populists are doing everything to denigrate the Albanian nation.

"First, we need to understand that the Dutch Parliament works differently than in us, every MP has his own opinion. The MP who proposed the resolution is close friend of Lulzim Basha. The populists are using every means to denigrate the Albanian nation. Regarding this resolution. Are not the Albanians the most problematic crime group in the Netherlands. The criminality of the Albanians living in the Netherlands is 20 times less than that of Poles," Balla said.

Regarding this issue, Balla considered the political reactions in the country as embarrassing, stressing that the visa regime is only imposed when there is asylum seeker, a phenomenon that according to Balla is not valid in this case.

"What makes it very worrying is the shameful political reaction that takes place in Albania...only arises when there are asylum seekers, this has fallen, but criminality has also collapsed with it. The official reaction of the Netherlands calmed the troubled souls. We have excellent cooperation between the two countries. What's unfortunate is the anti-Albanian reaction of the domestic politics," Balla said.
