 Even yesterday the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has made it clear to the Prime Minister Rama that the main criterion for Albania's accession to the EU is the rights of the Greek minority in Albania

At a meeting held at the "17 + 1 Initiative" in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Mr Tsipras made it clear that the central criterion for starting the EU accession path is the rights of the Greek minority.

The planned meeting of Alexis Tsipras with his Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama, is under way. After the meeting, the two prime ministers will attend the plenary meeting of Initiative 16 + 1, which will end with Greece's official admission.

The reforms needed for Albania's EU accession process and bilateral co-operation, with an emphasis on the economic sector, have been at the center of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras's meeting with his Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama.

Greek media also emphasize that Tsipras and Rama discussed the clear EU positions on minority rights in Albania and the self-determination law that is part of the Minority Act. In this context, Tsipras stressed as a positive step the Albania's new ministerial decision on property of citizens who did not have titles and stressed that the issue was in its implementation.

Also according to Greek media, the ministerial decision will also be published in the government newspaper in the coming days, as Rama promised. Also, Mr. Rama, as noted, has pledged to do everything to respect the EU rules on property rights, with absolute respect for those who have proprety certificates ...
