 No doubt, the person killed yesterday after the "big robbery" in Rinas Airport is one of the most wanted criminals in Albania and Greece, Admir Murataj, whe is also the brain of the group in other three robberies of the vehicles transporting the money of some second-tier banks

After getting permission from the police, the brother and wife of Admir Murataj headed towards the morgue of Tirana to identify the body. After checking the body of the victim his wife has confirmed to be her husband.

Admir Murataj is the masked person as a bald man in the photos provided yesterday by "BalkanWeb" from the moment when the armed robbers approached the plane where they got 10 million euros in 3-4 minutes, while there were 160 passengers waiting on the plane to travel to Vienna.

Murataj was shot, as soon as the group got the money and left. They faced the Special Forces and the border police of Rinas in a secondary road where they exchanged fire. During the exchange of fire he lost his life.

Murataj is not an unknown person for the police.

Admir Murataj in 2013 escaped from Trikala prison in Greece, while he is wanted by the neighboring Justice for some charges of murder, robbery, and injury. According to the Greek file, Murataj has used 15 different names, and after the imprisonment he managed to escape.

The group whose "brain" was Murataj was accused of carrying out at least three sensational bank robberies and in total they may have robbed 7 million euros.

The first episode of robbery dates back to December 3, 2015, where in the Qafë-Kashar-Rinas highway segment is  robbed a blind carrying a large sum of money from a second-tier bank.

The second episode occurred on February 9, 2017, on the way to Rinas Airport, where the robbery was done in the same way. While the third robbery occurred on February 13, 2018 at a bank near the former Train Station in Tirana, where another significant amount of money was stolen.
