Albanian DP Parliamentary Group decides to burn their mandates because '2017 elections were manipulated'

 The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has unanimously decided to burn their mandates," said the Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha in a statement to the media after the today's group meeting.

Basha said that at the end of the meeting, the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has decided to burn mandates by unanimous vote.

"Given the state of emergency in the after this government is cought in flagrante stealing the votes of the Albanian citizens, as evidenced by the court files published by the international media, because this government in corrupt, criminal; because of the elimination of the Parliament as a forum of democracy, the elimination of the Constitutional Court, the total corruption of the justice system, the state paralysis, the systematic oppression and violation of the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Albanians, including the life, health and property safety that caused an unprecedented situation of the economic crisis of massive national emigration and the disastrous state of social misery, supporting the political solution provided by the united opposition of a transitory government ready to take all the necessary steps to guarantee free and fair elections and the 'unlocking' of Albania's European integration and the opening of negotiations with the European Union through free and fair parliamentary elections, decided unanimously to burn the parliamentary mandates of the Democratic Party in the Assembly with the votes of crime and mafia in the 2017 manipulated elections" He stressed.

Basha said also that the DP Parliamentary Group authorized the DP president to pursue further steps in accordance with the party's status.
