Tirana-Durres highway closes on January 4
Qafë Kashar Overpass

The Tirana-Durres highway will be closed on January 4th. The Albanian Road Authority explains that the "paralysis" of the vehicle movement on this axis will be due to the works to be held in order to improve the flood situation by building big manholes in the Tirana-Qafë Kashar segment.

Traffic Deviation according to Road Authority

The Tirana-Durrës highway in the Kamza Overpass - Qafë Kashar Overpass, Rinas will be completely closed for traffic in both directions of movement. The traffic will be diverted to all means on the secondary road, which will operate in a direction of movement.

We recommend to road users during this time to choose alternative routes for the north (from Kamza) and south (from Ndroqi or Elbasan).

While untill now there is no official notification of how mach this situation will last, but everything is to be seen in the coming months.
