The floating photovoltaic plant, KESH submits the application to MEI for a capacity of 12.9MWp

 The Albanian Power Corporation, as previously stated for a possible project in photovoltaic plants, has submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy its application. The proposed capacity for this floating photovoltaic plant over Vau i Dejës HPP is 12.9 MWp. In a statement, the ministry announced the details of this application.

"Based to Article 15 of the Council of Ministers Decision no. 822, dated 7.10.2015 "On the approval of the rules and procedures for the construction of new generation capacities that are not subject to concession" as amended, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy announces the following:

"KESH" Sh.a. has expressed interest and has submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy the application for construction of a photovoltaic solar power plant for the production of energy from renewable sources, with a capacity of 12.9 MWp, on the surface of the HPP Vau i Dejes reservoir area in Vau i Dejes area, Shkodra. The electricity produced will be marketed on the free market.


The detailed application for the interested public, of the "KESH" Company, can be found at the premises of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy. 

Address: Rruga "Abdi Toptani", Nr. 1 Tirana. The deadline for submitting objections or comments to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy is 15 days, starting from the date of publication of this notice on the official website..." the ministry announces.

Two weeks ago, this ministry issued a public order suspending the review of applications for photovoltaic parks that are not concessional arguing that there is a high interest and that the legal framework had to be revised once again as the predicted capacities were exceeded.
