The increasing of the number of patients with cardiovascular, tumor or respiratory illnesses is often due to environment pollution.

The Top Channel camera was located in the Dajti Mount area, where a general view of Tirana is offered, while you can see the city covered by a cloud of dust.

"The main cause of air pollution in Tirana is car traffic. All types of gasses that are methons are poisonous. We are not talking about CO2 that is carbon a gas. Especially gases and carbon oxides are a major problem. All of these factors have an impact on the food chain, so food contamination can not be avoided through polluted waters, through the spills that come from contaminated air," said Lavdosh Ferruni to Top Channel, an environmentalist.

But what causes the air pollution to the human body?

"They cause various immune disorders, various pulmonary lung infections, to the healthy base of chronic diseases. Are cancerous diseases, are chronic pulmonary diseases. Unfortunately does not end here, because the pollution is perceived as it only relates to the respiratory apparatus, but there are also the cardiovascular disease, skin disease, eyesight, and nerve disorders," said Ardian Jorgji, a pneumologist.

In the Winter season the air is more polluted, because the trees are bare and people use more often their cars to move.
