Iran gives protest note to Albania because of the expelled of two Teheran diplomats

Albania has no embassy or diplomatic office of any kind in Iran, but Iran has protested in Tirana's capital for unacceptable measures taken by the country, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Saturday.

"We handed over our note of protest to Albania, because Tirana has no embassy or diplomatic office in Iran, so we could not call on the ambassador or their representative to protest or expel him," said the spokesman Bahram Qasemi.

Qasemi added, 'However, we showed our fiery protest through other channels.'

He said Iran opened its embassy in Tirana some 30 years ago, but because of the difficult economic problems, Albania could not open an embassy in Tehran.

Qathemi added on Thursday, that under the pressure of the US Government and the Zionist intelligence service and in co-operation with several anti-Iranian terrorist groups, Tirana expelled two Iranian diplomats. Considering Tirana's behavior as "unacceptable" and "persecutory".

"This action is the continuation of previous scenarios to sabotage Europe and Iran's relations in the current critical era."
