Greek MP Manolis Glezos: Greece's Interior Minister is Arvanitis, his name suggests

Manolis Glezos is a Greek left-wing politician and deputy of Arvanitis origin. In this video he talks about the origin of the Greek MPs, starting with these words: "I do not want to throw oil in the fire ...".

These statements are made by him some years ago when seemed that Golden Dawn would have succeeded.

"I ask the Minister of Education to state clearly whether he is Greek or not, because your surname indicates that you are Arvanitis. Here is the list of Greek MPs, out of 38 names, two are Turkish names and 13 have names that are not Greeks, foreign names. I made a simple study, and these are the results ... We did not understand that we are two peoples living in one another (refering to Albania) and as I have already said, neighbor peoples cannot be removed, but the two peoples should find common language so we can live together. And if you go to Muslim fests, in Rhodes in Athens and other places of Greece, you can see that these people have the same songs and dances like us, this is the reality. So we need to find the right way of cooperation with both peoples ( Albania and Turkey)." Manolis says in the video above.
