The Albanian Assembly approved this Thursday the draft law that successfully closes electronic casinos, sports betting and distance electronic games. With 75 votes in favor from the Socialist Party MPs, is opened the way that since 1 January 2019 no casino or betting point will remain open. The only games that survive on the market are the National Lottery, which is in a 10-year concession, television bingo and casinos in 5-star hotels.
After the vote in the Parliament, the Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted through a status. "The Assembly just approved with 100% of the present members the gambling prohibition (electronic casino and any kind of betting, off or online) on December 31st..." Rama wrote.During this week the draft law on gambling passed in accelerated procedure of discussion in parliamentary commissions while in contrast to the approved new government bill, other amendments are added introduced as a category that were removed from the list of allowed games also in electronic distance and the fact that the organization and development goes to the state.
