The Albanian cardiologist is one of the few doctors involved in the placement of Artificial organs by being identified as one of the few doctors who undergo such interventions.ESAO 2018 has assembled scientists who have created the newest and most sophisticated organs that give life to patients who have damaged or out of function organs. On the other hand, are the doctors who implant these artificial organs.
At the congress are treated recent cases of the use of artificial organs mainly in patients who are awaiting organ transplants. At the convention was discussed how life expectancy has increased for users of artificial organs.
Kristo Papa stated that many patients who find it difficult to find organ donors for a long time, the implantation of the artificial organs is the vital solution. In these cases, unlike before when there was a high mortality, many patients have managed to live for many years until they find the organ.
According to the well-known Albanian doctor, in the the congress is also discussed for the development of new artificial organs. He is widely known for the help of Albanian children in heart interventions and recently for the salvation of an Irish old man on plane.
